When you put the toothpaste on the peel, ergot, the fungus used in the synthesis of LSD  starts to grow on the peel. That is the black mold you see. Ergot when eaten whole does contain ergotine so  it will produce some visuals, but it has about 30 other alkoids in it and one that can cause gang green and loss of limbs. The best thing to do is do the orange peel thing, rip off the ergot and take it to a chemist and see if they can make LSD.

Sigh.

Ergot fungus does not grow on toothpaste and orange peel.

And why you would want to perpetuate such a myth with your first post here is beyond me.

Yeah...definitely don't eat the ergot raw haha....that's what can kill ya.

And yeah...I thought the myth was false. It just doesnt make sense. The orange peel would be too acidic to house a fungus, and the toothpaste has hydrogen peroxide in it, which kills all microbes...

Somehow I doubt that ergot grows from orange peels and toothpaste. Were it that easy to grow ergot, it would be much easier to synthesize LSD than it is.
