Habitat Pics from todays Fungi Finds
    #8874259 - 09/03/08 10:04 PM (15 years, 6 months ago)

Its that time of year folks. I make it a point to get out a few times a week. There were lots of proud little fungi representing today.

Can anyone out there ID em all? Enjoy the pics.

Nice hunting Shaman.
Those are some great pics. I especially like the ones growing in the needles, they have great texture and it is funny how they are growing in the last picture. It looks like they are a family lining up in a picture.
The first one is great also, you caught her at the right time and angle.
And the one that looks like a penis is exquisite.

In principle, a mycelium that can spread through the ground could keep on growing indefinitely and large, old mycelia are known.... The particular Armillaria ostoyae mycelium in question is spread over 890 hectares and is estimated to be at least 2,400 years old!

Senor Hongos,
You did asgood as I did. I'm not sure what 4 and 5 are. I'm thinking, however, that the penis looking shroom may be a Russula.
