Some good trays
    #886923 - 09/17/02 12:37 AM (14 years, 2 months ago)

Does anyone know where I can get some good trays for growing shitake mushrooms in? Perferably about 10in. by 10in. and about 4 inches deep. I don't want to go too big because of contamination on that damn shitake substrate.

Thank you.

Shiitake mushrooms are typicaly grown from blocks of colonized substrate that colonize and form in plastic filter patch bags.

Yeah so I'm gonna put the colonized block in the filter patch bag in the tray. Thats how I got the measurments for the trays, because the bags are about that big.

Most dollar type stores have a small pet section, where they carry plastic kitty litter boxes that are a very excellent size for cultivation, and they are only a dollar.
