one guy in the past used to make poppy seed tea by soaking them in cold water, hoping to get some morphine off the outsides of the seeds.
he threw the soaked seeds in his compost not thinking much of it, and a few days later there was a huge mass of sprouts i wish i could find the thread it was amazing...
So the poppy seed tea didn't work?

thats irrelevant.
plus it wouldnt be an indication whatsoever of it not working, you dont drink the leftover seeds.

I'm just curious to know if McCormick sells the seeds 'clean' without the morphine residue that the seeds should have naturally. Meaning that McCormick somehow keeps all the good stuff for themselves...
And I would definitely try the seed tea, but McCormick is nowhere to be found in Spain.

Hey,poppy seeds are very resilient.I made a batch with some spice seeds, and I actually boiled mine, strained out all the seeds, threw leftover seeds in a flower pot,and they still germinated. It was amazing, and I can't believe they could withstand such hi temps.I made a post about it on MOD EDIT: please do not post sources!!
,oh and the seeds came from Mekone, and they make some potent tea.I have yet to actually grow out a full mature plant, but In October they will be growing right beside my McCormick's.

KGB please stop posting that web site, it is a vendor that sells items including poppy seeds and they do not pay to be a sponsor, it is stated right in the rules that vendor discussion is not allowed.
thank you

Oh,I'm sorry,I didn't know that I couldn't do that. That site doesn't sell anything,it's just a regular old site like the shroomery, that's why I didn't think it would be a problem.Ok,I'm going to read the forum rules again,so I don't keep messing up.I hope there are no worries man.

Oh shit, does it?Damn,I've been a member for a year now,and never knew that shit.Well,I guess you learn something new everyday.Anyways.here is a pic of the spice seeds Mekone sent me,I made tea from most of them, but this is what I have left to plant in October. These seeds kick ass,and you get a 7 ounces of seeds for less than a bottle of McCormick seeds.I'm telling you, grocery store seeds kick ass!

"Plant in fall in mild-winter areas, or in very early spring - as soon as the snow has melted - in colder regions."
