The small one isn't a Terscheckii. The big one kinda looks like a Stetsonia Coryne. I could be wrong though. Its not an Icaros or at least doesn't look like any of mine.

yeah could be Trichs. heres my Icaros and I got the seed from a reputable source who got it imported from Peru from the people who sell the actual Icaros DNA and I even tried the dried cactus many times.....
and heres a younger one I got the seed from a shroomery member. the spines are the same on all of them.....

Your big cactus is a Trichocereus Cuzcoensis. The small one is too small to ID, maybe with a closer pic of spination.

I doubt it. The new spines on a cuzco tend to be yellowish. Mature spines are bone colored. I am thinking it may be a PT cross of sort. Like royer said though, too hard to tell.

what would you say is a good strain for potency then, i believe the 'peruvianus' i have is extremely low in potency(may not even be a peruvianus at all -- i dunno), i still love it nonetheless, it's beautiful and unique, but i would like to have a potent peruvianus for consumption purposes later.

Try tarma. Nice strain there . I dont believe that ICAROS are macros. I have macro seedlings and they are not the same as my ICAROS or tarma for that matter. Macros are not inactive or nearly inactive, uare. I got a good pull from a mescaline citrate extraction. I wish I didn't do it though. Macros are hard to obtain (unless you fall for the hybrid scam). For consistency I would recommend San Pedro, but hey we are talking PT here.

oh, i've got potent bridgesii(VERY potent) and pedro i am more than happy with, i think i was ripped off on my peruvianus though, i think it's a cuzco now but not entirely sure.
anyway i have also bought a trichocereus that was labeled as amacrogonus at lowes one day and found out it was really a glandiflorus, possibly mixed with macrogonus but leaning hard on the grandiflorus.
anyway thanks for the recommendation, i'll look into this strain.

Not true bro. I have tried Icaros many many times and it was very good stuff. It was Imported from Peru by a reputable vendor. I used to get bags of 1000 grams. KBG used to get the same stuff. He was the one who turned me on to the vendor.
maybe you are thinking of Teo's True Blue Peruvians??

if that is true (don't believe everything you read on wiki) that would make it on par with lophophora in terms of mesc content...
of course it depends on what you read.

T.macrogonus No traditional use. Total alkaloids 10-50mg/100g fresh Mescaline 5-25mg/100g fresh (10-50% of total) 3-Methoxytyramine (1-10% of total) 3,4-Dimethoxyphenylethylamine (1-10% of total) Tyramine (1-10% of total)

Ahh indeed, that seems to be a more accurate study.
0.05% total alkaloids?
Thats kinda gutting - whoever wrote that article on the all infinite wiki must have have read that and got his numbers wrong..

a 2% trich is considered excellent in potency terms, 5% is just unheard of... that wiki article needs changing, very misleading

Not sure about the tiny little guy but the bigger one could be Stetsonia coryne OR seedgrown Trichocereus pachanoi (no V notches).

Nope, its definitely not a Stetsonia coryne. I am sure now that it is definately, without a single trace of doubt that it is a PT or very closely related.
Definitely a Trichocereus atleast.
Time to close topic i think

if you are sure it's trichocereus, then i say cuzcoensis because of the whitening spines, it might have some peruvinoid in it but white spines is a definite sign of cuzco genes.

But cuzco have yellow new spine growth, whereas that cactus is reddish. Yes, I think its a hybrid. Perhaps even some kind of cuzco cross, but its not a reg cuzco. I am positive. Here is a pic of my cuzco/peruvian torch cross:
Sorry its sideways. I was drunk when I uploaded it.

Haha, awesome. Drunken internets is always a winner
I think one of the cacti i picked up in my scoop is a pure blooded cuzco - the spines are really green and stupidly weak when fresh. I couldnt believe how easily they broke.
Inactive but still fucking awesome cacti.
As for the one i in this topic, i know believe even more strongly than ever that it is a Matucanan (or very close to) torch with some small traces of cuzco genetics.
