small contam before birth?

is there an easy way to remove a small contam before a cake is fully colonized? its right on the top, at the bottom of the dry verm layer. i was wondering if i could just take it out quickly and recover with the verm?

cut it out with a sterile knife and spray with h202 solution... i dont know if this works but its a suggestion...

Hmmm, Not really, but try something stupid anyways. inject it with alcohol or bleach, fry it with a magnifying glass in the sun, or send it some bad karma. Nothing will likely save it, but why not try anyways.
