"I would be honored to run with or against John McCain."
More selective hearing. "I think he can be ready" when referring to Obama. Naturally, Biden is older, and wiser, that's why Obama chose him to run by his side.
No one has "experience" being President. Once you reach executive branch, that's a whole different ball game. The Bush family proved this.

They choose Biden to cover up for Obama cause he was slipping in the polls. At least be honest on that statement. Biden is a man who has been around awhile, he has creditability, and he covers for the holes Obama has. And i am sure they promised Joe the endorsement for 2016 if Obama wins. But thats not the only time he says Obama has no experience.. Not as a president, but politically as well. Dude we can debate this all night, but the fact stands nobody knew Obama, he slipped in, now the Dems are doing what ever to cast a shadow over the mistakes he has made already. But as i said, if you like Obama, then cast your vote, and we will see who in the end people wanted..

So they're entitled to their money, I can accept that. Just so long as they can't drive on roads, can't send their kids to public school, and can't receive state aid in any way.
What in the hell are you talking about? I didn't say that they shouldn't pay taxes; I said they shouldn't pay any more. They already pay enough as it is.

What the US needs is not an increase in taxes (which you won't bear the burden of anyways), but to get control of the spending taking place in Washington.

Does anybody else laugh everytime Barry says he's going to eliminate our dependence on foreign oil by investing in alternative energies? As though energy is the only thing we're using oil for...
The vast majority of our consumer goods are made with oil. Basically any plastic product, from your monitor case to a lot of your clothes, started its life as a pool of petroleum. If we eliminated our dependence on oil, our whole consumer economy would collapse; we simply wouldn't know what to make shit out of.
We need to invest in finding alternative chemical feedstocks at least as badly as we need to invest in alternative energy, if not moreso. But if you were to campaign for investing in alternative chemical feedstocks, the average American would have no idea wtf you're talking about, so they stick to the "alternative energy" rhetoric.

If you think i believe Obama was in control of that decision, and Dem machine wasn't the puppet master behind Barry picking Joe Biden, your fucking crazy.

Naturally, Obama is going to make a decision for someone older, experienced, and knowledgeable.
Look at Kennedy for example; young and considered to be inexperienced. (Only 43.) He choose a VP that was older, wiser, and would complement him as a President. A wise choice indeed. The percentage of people expressing confidence in their government was at an all-time high. Since then we have had a rapid decrease. (Ref: Politics in America, Eigth Edition, Thomas Rye.)
Naturally, oil is used for more than our cars, but eliminating the use of it for our cars will save so much money, reduce our ailing environment, alongside so many other things.
Are all of you really not seeing the other side of this?
PS: Yes. Yes our government does need to tax more.

Govt. needs both right now. Both would help the country's current debt and help the country domestically solve problems.

The government needs revenue. Not the same thing.
The Bush tax cuts resulted in an immediate jump in federal tax revenue that has increased every year. Raising tax rates does not generate more revenue for the federal government, lowering tax rates does this. This has been demonstrated over and over and over again, with never an exception. Not once. Ever. The rule holds true whether it's Democrats cutting the tax rates or Republicans. Read up a little on the results of the Kennedy tax cuts and the Reagan tax cuts.
You want to bring an economy to a screeching halt? Raise taxes... especially capital gains taxes.

Only 3% of world oil supply is turned into plastic. The rest is burned. I wrote a paper on this in undergrad and investigated bioplastics like PHA, and concluded that if we stopped using oil as fuel we'll easily have enough to produce all the other petroleum-based products for hundreds of years. The only advantage of PHA lies in the fact it's biodegradable and thus doesn't contribute to landfill. Obama is correct, if we stop using oil as fuel we will be completely independent from foreign oil since we produce enough of our own.
