Hi,
I had some MYA in pint jars that I squirted a bit of Tasmanian spore solution into. It must have gotten all over the surface because one day the whole surface was covered:

Is this any use? It?s pretty un-rhizomorphic.

You could transfer a piece of it to a new jar and grow it out. Repeat until desired results are obtained.

you have an extreamly thick layer of agar there. in my experiences, thick, or over nutritious agar dosn't produce ryzomorphic mycelium.

....which DOESN'T mean that you won't be able to fruit it.

Firstly you shouldnt be finding that the mycelia has colonised the entire surface of a plate in a day. At that speed it would have to be a contaminant.
As someone has already suggested, if its mycelia, isolate it and repeat until you can establish some rhizomorphic growth or start again. Tassies tend to become rhizomorphic within one generation for me from every spore match ive tried.
Lasty the aireal fluffyness of your mycelia may indicate that there isnt enough agar or solidifying agent in yoiur media

I think it would be an interesting experiment to try tossing some pasturised horse shit in and fill up the jar. Could work really well. But then you would have a big chunk of un-colonised agar to worry about when you birthed it (which I spose you could just break off at birth like the umbilical cord!)
