Tracking colinization via sharpy
    #8842451 - 08/28/08 03:31 PM (15 years, 6 months ago)

I wonder if anybody else is bothering to track the rate of colonization. So far, I am doing it via time lapse photography and just marking where the myc. is in the substrate with a fine tipped sharpy whenever I wake up/go to bed.

Ya I have done this myself too. Serves several purposes. Besides the fact that you can see the pace of your colonization, it also acts as a marker for the sometime confusing thoughts of stalled growth. You would have to have a really good eye and memory to be able to tell exactly where your growth begins and ends every say 12 hours or so. A thin line provides the definate location.
