Well, since my father was diagnosed having prostate cancer my curiosity for medicinal shrooms grew bigger. It seems I found some reishi growing in the city, theres other locations around my house where I can pink more if these pictures are not enough for a proper ID.
Here it is:
Species #1

Habitat: Wood - Found in a standing living tree.
Gills: Im unable to locate them (very n00bish).
Stem: Mmmm...
Cap: Brown to white, smooth, it seems really solid.
Spore print color: currently unknown.
Bruising: No color change was observed.
Location: Picked in central Mex.

Ganoderma tsugae or lucidum depending on the type of wood it was growing on, both are medicinal.

Those reishi look great, I hope they will aid in your father's recovery. Cancer is an ugly thing; I lost my mother to it a week before my 7th birthday (genetic breast cancer). But on a more positive note, I've heard of a docter stating that more men die with prostate cancer than as a result of prostate cancer, illustrating the fact that it stays isolated to the prostate in most cases, unlike other forms of cancer that tend to spread through the body. But so much for statistics; I really hope your father will live a long and happy life.

Wow, thanks for the support everyone.
It's not the first case of cancer in my family, I had a sister which got a certain type of osteosarcoma, I can't remember the name but I know it's one of the most aggressive type known. IMO it's a shame that a great percentage of the cancer population is fucked up thanks to the system governing a great part of the world.
I'm not gonna go down further regarding this subject as it has been done before (if one can trace the lines using the discovered dots) and it isn't even appropriate for this thread but I gotta say, I'm very glad I found mushrooms and got (I'm getting) to learn a great deal of them thanks to the shroomerites. This site is such a great place to do some research BTW.
Keep on shrooming!
