Its showtime!

Hello! First post here at the shroomery, and I would like to throw a question out there. Ive been hunting over at a forest in NE ohio for mushrooms. About 600-700 feet back from the road all sorts of life springs up and outword! I found some Blue small looking mushrooms growing out of moss on the ground, aswell as red with white spotted mushrooms a little farther back by a few trees. I will get some pictures the next time I go back there. But I found some brown looking mushrooms that resemble psychoactive mushrooms. I was curious to know other peoples experiences in ohio with finding mushrooms, i.e. location, condition, and what did they look like so Im not fooled. Ill be sure to get some more information so maybe all us Ohio folk and get some solid facts on the locations of these delicious fungi.

Post pictures, and read the post at the top of the forum index on how to do a ID request. DO NOT eat them without first asking someone who knows...You could die, and at the least end up really sick.

Do searches in google, or around here to see where they grow and when they grow.

I am aware of the fact that there are many mushrooms out there that will taunt me if I do not take the right precautions. I plan to go back into the woods tomorrow, get some pictures and perhaps even a few samples so I can disect and make a few spore prints. Please! More past experiences and background information helps a lot!
