im over 18. i still live with my parents ...blah blah and i got caught growing them in my closet because my mom has a senstive nose. sucks man. told them they were oysters and legal and they believed me because i wasnt letting on i did something wrong

Unless your parents are incredibly dense, they don't believe you. Who the Hell grows oyster mushrooms in their closet when they are readily available for a fraction of the cost at the supermarket?

Just tell them straight - Say I want to experiment, I've done thorough research. If you don't like it - it disappoints me but I won't stop it. If you kick me out then I'm going to end up experimenting with the wrong people.
At least thats what I did. Worked good. All my experimenting is over and I still have a good relationship with the olds.

Fuck, my brother actually grows oysters in the house.
He also grows shiitakes, and of course, some cubies. Shiitakes actually look a lot more like cubies than oysters, FYI.
