I have learned and judged for myself...that there is no evidence for any 9/11 conspiracy theory and that the believers of them have absolutely no idea what they are talking about. I actually used to buy into some of this stuff. Especially after I first saw Loose Change. And then I did some real research and found that every point the 9/11 deniars make is without fail, bullshit.
I love WTC7 is supposedly the smoking gun of 9/11 truth, but when scrutinzed closely, that too all falls apart.

I've never understood 9/11 truthers obsession with a theory that has so little proof, while simultaneously the same people dropped their interest in the Florida election fraud of 2000 that actually has lots of evidence and no popular backing. Oh wait it may have something to do with the fact that the US media stopped talking about the Florida election fraud quickly while it drones on and on about 9/11. I'll tell you what Chomsky said when asked about the subject. "No articles in any peer reviewed magazines on architecture have validated any claims that contradict the 9/11 commission's findings on how the WTC towers have came down." Paraphrasing ofcorse but it's still a valid argument. Can you name one article that isn't in zeitgeist or some conspiracy website or blog that gives a credible explanation of how the buildings were not blown up by the 747s that slammed into them?

He said something that is not published on a conspiracy site. And Steven Jones might be the biggest idiot fraud of them all. He just made the whole thermite crap up. He offers no proof that it would work and makes no calculations about how much would be needed if it would work(a fucking shitload).
It's not like he has any expertise in any relevent fields anyway. His field of study (before BYU fired him) was cold fusion.

By your definition, they are all conspiracy sites. You've poisoned the well.
I'm still not finding any explanation from NIST to suggest where the extremely high temperatures in the rubble came from.

Explain how high temperatures in the rubble have anything to do with a controlled demolition? I would love to see a truther try to prove that high temps mean the building destroyed by controlled demo.
Were the demolished using some sort of super secret magic explosives that leave things burning very hot for a long time?
Like I said before, it is completely possible that they don't look into the exact causes of the high temps in the rubble. Their mandate was to find the mechanics of the collapses and make recomendations so that it doesn't happen again. Temps in the rubble weeks and months after the fact have nothing at all to do with this.

Well I asked phred if he could move the thread in here, since we were discussing peer review and I wanted to let folks respond to my positiion if they like.
Its not that I think its worthless, far from it, its just that I think the name itself is hoisted about with lack of recognition that the merits of peer review are largely as dependant upon the individual publication and reviewers as the paper is related to the authors.
