Maybe a 1.5cm in diameter. The other holes I have made are smaller than that.

I hate to say, but I told you so!
They still look cool though. Try putting them on top of the tub instead of in it.

Nice work Tripsis.
I found a wild specimen up near Mullumbimby-Wilsons Creek actually. There was a bunch of logs fallen across the creek, and in a small space, about a metre or so, there where Turkeys Tails, a couple of solitary Pink Oysters, and about a dozen other types of fungi. I collected a Pink Oyster specimen (potentially native to Oz), but can't find it now.
Would you like to trade some filter patch bags for a culture?

Wow, that's incredible. I had no idea they could be found in the wild here. I'm still dreaming of that Hericium abietis I found up that way, in Werrikimbe NP. I'm determined to find it again.
Sure, I'd love to trade for some bags, I'll PM you.

Photos from today. The big cluster I've harvested and will be eating tonight. I've still got no idea how I plan on eating them.

I forgot to mention, I inoculated my girlfriend with pink oyster culture too. She fruited today.

...and just because I like this particular individual mushroom, a couple of photos of the sole fruit in the last flush of the button mushrooms I've been growing.

Hey Juke, give your more FAE on the next flush and they'll do fine. I hope mine don't taste like rubber fish with a hint of mushroom though!
Thanks dstark!:D

Well, I had them for dinner. Can't say the flavour was bad at all. Nothing outstanding about them, but nothing remotely offensive either. They were chopped up and sauteed with garlic, onion, tomato, parsley, balsamic vinegar, salt and pepper and served on wholemeal multigrain toast.

No, sadly she is not. I'm working on changing that but I doubt I'll get far.
