casing question
    #881311 - 09/13/02 02:38 AM (14 years, 5 months ago)

Ok here is my situation: I have two casings, ones a B+ and the others tassie. Both have tons of pins all over them. The pins are still really small and don?t have distinguished caps and stems yet but are still just little white pinhead looking things. However the mycelium is I growing really thick and fluffy off of the casing layer and I'm worried that the overlay may affect the pins ability to reach maturity. So I'm wondering if I should add a very light casing layer over the mycelium or if I should just leave that shit alone. My casing layer is coir. Thanks in advance.

Good bye.

I have heard a lot about coir making a bunch of abhorts and never reaching maturity. Also I've heard overlay will cause you to fail in casing. At this point consider what you do from here on out an experiment. You could try to re-case with vermiculite, or you could leave alone and see what happens. You could also deep scratch to break the overlay up. Think about each option, think about each consequence and I think you can make the right decision without too much help.

One of the easiest, but maybe not the best things that you can do is use the casing in an outdoor tek, use the search feature to see what I mean. Good luck
