depends on the amount of vascular contact...
you should notice the scion swell within a matter of days...
but if there is little vascular contact then it may stall for a while before it gets going...
i had one that stalled for 9 weeks before it showed any growth and others that were showing loads of new growth within a week or two...

it's been on for 3 days so far. it looks to have taken, but no sign of growth or shrinkage.
i hate the waiting game.

i would go graft another right now but it's 12.06 am, and i have to work in the morning. maybe sunday.

on another note, some random seed has sprouted in a pereskiopsis pot that i brought from an online ethnobotanicals site. i wonder what it is? maybe i'll post a pic on sunday

it will be a good week or two before you actually notice any growth.

i have 3 grafts from 2 weeks ago just now starting to show noticeable growth.

I grafted a couple Matucana madissionorum a couple weeks ago and they're just now taking off although the Astrophytum capricorne I grafted at the same time have been swollen since a couple days after the grafts happened.

I have a Loph Decepiens that halfway took and took a couple months before it really situated itself good. it's still growing really slow compared to my others.

Most of my peresk grafts do show the initial fattening the first few weeks but it's usually not until at least a month before mine really start to take off.

just checked the graft today, it must not have been aligned properly, because the graft had taken (as in the scion actually stuck to the stock) but the seedling had gone all squishy and soft so i just ripped it off.

i'll try another a bit later on.
