Just going to say I tried, and I failed. They are a pain in the ass for me anyway.
I'll try again some day, but not yet.

From what ive researched many have tried and only a few succeeded indoors. Outdoors yea just read up and its possible.

Not recommended for indoor grows, from what I understand. People can do it, but most fail. Heres a link for outdoor: http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/2349272 Let me know if it helps. I'm doing an oudoor grow this upcoming year. I can't wait. GL.

This is a waste of time. Saying most fail is an understatement. All but a few fail. And if you do succeed your flushes will probably be the equavalent of one pf cake. If you want to grow az. Build up spawn throughout the winter time. In the spring start an outdoor patch.

Oak chips. It started nice, but eventually it just quit. This is what RR said, and I trust him. If he says this then you should certainly take it into consideration.
Quote:
Very few growers have succeeded in growing azures indoors. They're an outdoor mushroom. Even if you did get some, you'd spend months of work to get very little. I'd suggest cubensis at least until you learn the basics of fungi.
After that, grow out some azure spawn on sterilized, supplemented sawdust-wood chips in filter patch bags, and then use them to inoculate a wood chip bed outdoors. RR
If you can grow them indoors then PLEASE give me the procedure you used.

Its not growing them, thats hard to do. It's the fruiting of them thats very hard to do inside...

Were you trying indoors when it failed, MHbound?
I don't know why people wouldn't just do them outdoors in a mini green house to keep it from getting too cold. I'm thinking a thin wood frame large enough for a decent sized patch would work. Maybe someone experienced can explain why it wouldn't work. I always thought Azures looked easy to grow. I want to try inoculating some cardboard and wood chips with sawdust, soaked in an erythritol/honey solution, in a 1/4 pint jar.
if anyone could explain any flaws in this I'd appreciate it.

Yea I tried indoors.
You could start this winter working to build up your spawn, and as soon as its warm enough you can inoculate a big ass pile of woodchips outdoors. You'll have them growing everywhere by summer.
