I think they taste rather neutral. I mean I don't enjoy it but it is not horrible, just a slight mushroom flavor. It is the texture that gets me. Some people make tea; if you do this add a lot of sugar, some people slap 'em in a blender with some oj and hit puree. If I am excited enough I can just eat a big fat daddy like it was candy. Try popping them like a large pill, just break the caps up into small pieces.

i like to eat fresh ones. i just munch em. i don't mind dry ones though. the texture has never bothered me any.

They taste fine to me too - just like regular mushrooms - maybe a little stronger. IME, they all taste about the same. When I was younger, we used to always make kool-aid with them. Boil em for a few mins, toss in a pack or 2 of kool-aid and a bunch of sugar. It's kind of thick but you can't taste the mushies at all.

It did make me puke a few times but then again I seem to puke about half of the time I take shrooms anyway. Guess I'm just a puker... :projectile:
