Myc poping
    #8805415 - 08/21/08 02:08 PM (9 years, 8 months ago)

Myc is starting to pop through the casing layer in my trays. Should I fruit now or wait until the myc covers most of the casing??? Thanx everyone.

put a little non-colonized casing over the first colonized spots and wait until its somewhat evenly colonized.. this is called patching

Depends on if there's enough verm in your tray.

evenly distributed mycelium in the casing will make better pin sets

hey I got an idea. I've got some patching I should do, but don't want to prepare new casing. So I should patch with some hydrated verm nice and quick no hassle no fuss. Sorry if this seemed obvious to you but It didn't occur to me till just now.
