New Myrtillocactus Geometrizans
    #8804687 - 08/21/08 09:26 AM (15 years, 7 months ago)

I just received my newest cactus purchase, a nice blue myrtle (for use as grafting stock).

I'm going to let it grow for a few months (it's 15cm at the moment), and then cut off the top and repot the pups it produces.

no real point in this post, just fancied sharing a picture.

enjoy,
~Haymaker

Why wait ?  If I were you, I would cut it in 3, and plant the other 2 once they have callused up. The bottom will still pup, the middle section will also pup, and the top will grow as normal.
