 PC Problem

I bought a PC a while back but i never resolved this problem i had with it. i figure its about time to adress it. well anyway upon trying to put it together the lid got stuck and i was never able to get the lid off. it was my first time using one and i wasnt sure exactly how to put it on correctly and it got stuck. i tried as hard as i could to get it off but its stuck on real tight and obviously the wrong way. its like half on and half off and its been impossible to get off. anyone know how i can fix this or am i screwed?

try runnin hot water on just the lid. hopefully the heat will cause the lid to expand a little making it easier to get off...

maybe some kinda grease. wd-40 or maybe some vaseline and a hammer. how in the world did you get it on so jacked up?

haha, yeah i have no idea! i didnt know what i was doing... i was just trying to get the dang lid on and i guess i did it really wrong!?

Having it expand would make it HARDER to get off.
Put that bitch in the freezer, wait a few hours, then try and get it off.
Trust me, building an AR15 I had problems getting the FSB pins out so I froze it, then they came out easy.

if just the lid is heated it will expand making it easier to get off imo...just like trying to open a spaghetti jar you run it under hot water. come on not rocket science here....
anyway, did you get the lid off yet?

How is he going to heat up a lid that's slightly attached and only the lid?
He'd have to heat up the whole thing, especially since I bet there's metal touching and if he heated up the lid than the heat would transfer.

Step #1 Turn on the hot water in yo kitchen sink
Step #2 Take the pc and tilt it so the top is facing the water
Step #3 Move the top towards the hot water till the water is flowing over the lid
Step #4 after about 30 seconds or so and take the damn lid off!!
Why in the FUCK do some have to have all the damn sense or act like they do...
DUH....um, how he gonna heat just the lid, um, heat transfer and all.... Why do you want to question me? you offered absolutely no suggestion as to getting that damn lid off...got any ideas Einstein?
