^Yeah same here.
I think whilst being outdoors, amongst nature and friends as more enjoyable or 'smoother', sometimes being alone in the dark with just some appropriate music can take you a lot further into the rabbit hole, even if it's not a very comfortable journey.

Yeah, tell me about it. The other night me and three of my friends were down at my neighborhood park, swinging and spinning on the carousel and watching the trees' reflections over the pond. It was awesome and beautiful and I was jamming to some Dead until two of them decided to head to the hotel room I had gotten for them to crash at. And not 30 minutes into it, my friend-girl looks up from the bed and goes "Guys, I think I'm dying. Turn the light on. I really think I am." And as soon as I heard that, I listened to what was playing through the iHome and it was like Iron and Wine and the fluorescent light was flickering the background. I was able to get a hold of myself, but as for the other three; two of them are never dosing again and the other used it to quit smoking pot and stays away from all things psychedelic now.

Dunno, I think both indoor trips and outdoor trips have equal initial potential, but indoor trips have a higher likelihood of becoming claustrophobic and anxiety-ridden than outdoor ones.

i fell ya on the indoor thing compared to being outdoors. subconscious claustrophobia might be a good explanation. im the same way small places usaully never bother me. i feel like im missin out if im trippin indoors sometimes too.

You've just put what I was trying to convey into words. This is the feeling I get and that eventually manifests itself towards a darker quality.

I don't, I, from the start, try and push my trips into a good, happy direction because that's what I'm hoping to get out of it and I can say optimism has certainly paid off in the past and got me through rough times.
Sorry for the slightly late replies, I fell asleep

It's one thing if its just me. I can lay down and fall into my mind but if I'm with people, outside is the way to go methinks. Iunno, I think it would've been a much better overall trip if my friend hadn't felt like that. We settled her down and all but there still remained that like mental thumbprint of her saying it. Just kinda, taints the air a bit

Hmmm.... to each his own is my feeling. I've noticed in particular that "natural" psychedelics like mushrooms or mesc are easier to integrate in an outdoor setting as opposed to L or some research chemicals, although that could just be me projecting some half baked theories onto the experience. I don't particularly have a bad time when Im indoors but I find almost all of my trips include some outdoor and some indoor time. I think spending the whole time in either setting gets a bit wearing after a while. Just my two cents... Gracias...

Bah, both indoor and outdoor settings are for squares. Raves are where it's at--best of both worlds.

I always tend to be outdoors when I'm tripping. I've had only 1 trip I'd label as 'bad', though all of my trips that didn't go quite so well were indoors too. If I'm ever feeling bad at all I just go outside and I almost immediately feel better. Normally the only reason I go indoors is because my friends don't wanna stay outside with me all the time.

Only had one bad trip out of something like 30 total,. It was inside. It wasn't horrible or anything, i just felt really anxiety filled and saw dragon evil looking shit forming on the ceilings. Difference with me inside vs. outdoors, is outdoors tripping i have to explore shit, because everything is fascinating. It's like being a kid at the park again. Making scorpions fight each other is really fun. Inside it's just a laughy, yet chill type of high.

I don't think I could stand staying inside for an entire trip. I have before during the winter, but that was only because I was tripping too hard to even walk outside. Being outside just feels 100000x better, and it's a more interesting environment anyway. I love exploring nature while tripping.

Normally when I'm tripping for w/e reason I swear I sweat like 5x more than normal. Normally I'm pretty sweaty too. Anyways though, yeah normally I love how after a good trip I'm just grimy and sweaty all over. I'm sure I smell bad but I don't care, it just feels so natural and free.

You gotta trip outside man, in nature. Anything else feels so contrived and antispiritual. Fuck "trip toys", stoner flicks, etc etc

hey im all for tripping outside, but i also feel like you gotta explore all kinds of environments in that frame of mind. i usually trip inside and end up adventuring outside later for a bit.
