Is there any saving this poo tray? **PIC**
    #8803138 - 08/20/08 11:54 PM (9 years, 8 months ago)

I have had this tray in my FC for 10 days now, i had made the stupid mistake of using geolite instead of perlite, for 2 reasons, 1. i had heaps of it, and 2. i actually had some faith in it :rolleyes: Lol but what it did was do nothing...
Anyhow, yesterday i decided to go out and buy 100 litres of perlite Lol so now i have replaced the geolite for perlite.

My question is, how good should this tray go now with the perlite, even after all this time is it still going to have a nice flush?
Or be honest, am i fucked? Lol

Thanks

I'm not sure what the problem is... was your humidity not high enough for these 10 days?

If the fungus is still alive then there's no problem. It may be a little dehydrated, but you certainly aren't fucked.

yea the hydroton had bugger all surface area compared to perlite. Very little humidity over the 10 days.
I gave it the tiniest mist this moring.
It still looks alive to me Lol considering i changed over to perlite yesterday, how long would you think i could expect until it pins?

Can't answer that one, but I agree, if it's still alive, you can grow them! :goodluck:

edited for spelling.

Question: Why do women wear make-up and perfume?
Answer: Because they're ugly and they stink.

ok thanks , but in this condition, less hydrated ofcourse, should i expect smaller flushes? only 1 flush?
And how long should i expect to see pins would you think?

There are too many variables for someone to answer the question regarding how long it will take. If I were you, I would look up TEKs on 'dunking'. Because you have no pins, or are not in 'mid-flush' so to speak, dunking to re-hydrate your casing will fix your hydration issue. :goodluck:
