i hear different takes on Gymnopilus junonius does it depend on the species some friends said they got some from eating them and some said they got trips i just want to know everyones take on in because i live in a heavily wooded area in NS Canada and i see these fucking things everywhere whats everyones take on them

The current name, according to MSA, is Gymnopilus spectabilis.

Most of the Gyms I am familiar with are active.  They taste pretty nasty. If you have the opportunity to find some do it.  Bring them back so we can ID them.
