 first time growing the shrooms..Help!!pics

well..this is my firs post;)
Me and my boyfriend decided to grow magic mushrooms, we bought all stuff that we need.
And I want to ask, if we bought the right things, and if we`ve done substrate and other stuff for cakes good.
Thaankss for answering!! 
1. We sterilized coups(Plastic of 1 pint) (pic)
2. We made a substrate with 1/4 rice flour+ 2/3 vermiculite+ 1/4 water.(pic)
3. Than we put that in sterilized coups, on the top we added a litlle bit of vermiculite.
4. The top of the coups coverd with plastic foil(see the pictures)
5. At last we inculated each cup with 1cc B+ and made 4 holes for the air.
6. We put the cups in the dark place on 28 degress celsius.
Can you please check the pics and let as know, if we did the proces good, and what else we can do for the good colonizing.

hmm did you even sterilize the substrate? I think the plastic might of melted if attempted..wait and see I guess.

we didnt sterilizet jars on high temperature, we just spray it with Lysol spray that is used in hospitals and desinfacts almost everything(HIV, hepatitis C and oders)

Ok?!? Before you do anything else read the basic grow guides in that link in my previous post. Spraying it with that stuff and not sterilizing you jars will cause you to fail before you even noc em up. Do some reading before you start.

Some plastic can be autoclaved. Check for a triangle with a 5 in it.
Are those cups made by ball?

How old are you and your boyfriend? The PF tek is pretty damn simple to follow. Your cups will probably contam.

Yeah, MycoSupply sells Polypropylene 1/2 pint containers and lids, which are supposed to be safe to sterilize.
The Chinese place that I order from serves their take-out tea in those exact containers (the lids are Polyethylene I believe).
Personally I considered playing around with them for PF-TEK, but plastic does funny things when you apply heat to it, like release potentially carcinogenic chemicals. And glass is easier to pop cakes out of I'd imagine, and it's prettier.

Of course you can, doesn't mean it's entirely safe or proven. Just because the general consensus doesn't find a problem doesn't mean there isn't one. It's probably fine, but I like to do my own research and do things how I see fit. Matter of preference.

I have been using plastic in the microwave for 30+ years.

Were 26 and 20... And yea we know how to read,but we needed to improvise i think that hospital stuff should be ok since they use this thing for operating people,so if they dont die between sourgery also my mushrooms wont get contiminated????idk
@vater Hey,what do you mean by that,we sterilized the jars ,BUT not the substrate itself.We were mfolowing the erowid tut and it didnt sead nothing of that step.

Well usually after you fill the jars you need to sterilize in a hot bath of water or use a pressure cooker.
Which method of sterilization did you use?
If you skipped the bath or PC then it's no good!

@vater Damnit we fucked it up,we will wait and see... We didnt read the manual carefuly and didnt know that we need to sterelize it also AFTER you put the substrate in jars... Damn i gues plastic cups realy sucks...
Thanx for your help ill make another 5 jars this time we will sterelize them ... Ill upload the pics tomorow and again thank you for your help

well, if you didn't sterilize the brf/verm mix, remember that it's basicly food you're going to leave unrefridgerated for a period of 2+ weeks, it will very likely get moldy. Not the good mold.
Use less verm, do 1/4 cup brown rice flour, 1/2 cup verm, 1/4 cup water. Any amount you mix up, remember its 1 part brf, 1 part water, 2 parts verm. Give them more food, the water content can be set good with dunking and rolling.
Use glass jars unless you can safely 1 hour pressure cook, or steam sterilize those things without them melting.
The final substrate mix looks real clumpy to me, like i said use only 2 parts verm. If you mix the water & verm real well first, then slowly add the brf and mix real well it gets everything pretty uniform. Another thing, to even out the substrate in the jars/cups/things is to slide them back and forth on the table a few times.
Good luck but you might need to go buy some 1/2 pint or 1/4 pint (my fav for cakes) glass jars, widemouth, and start over. Honestly just throw the contents of those cups under a tree with compost in your yard or something and hope you get some going outside, if mean molds germinate and grow in it they can spread all over the house. I'll bet money those get contaminated before any shroom mycellium can get a good foothold.

you must use Brown rice flour.... not white rice flour... big difference here.
