flickering screen

so i have been having some trouble with my screen lately. it starts flickering and sometimes it just gets stuck and i don't see anything at all, it goes totally white.
something like this
i did some searching and found out a couple of reasons why this might happen. i disassembled my screen and started fucking around to see what i could do and i found out that if i apply some pressure behind the lcd the flickering stops. so i guess something is loose in there but i really don't know what. i did a little experiment by putting a folded piece of paper between the outer plastic "case" and the lcd screen, so that the folded piece of paper is applying pressure to the back of the lcd. i used the laptop for like an hour and it all worked fine.
i was wondering if any of you guys know what the problem is or if there's any reason why i shouldn't leave that folded piece of paper there?
here's a (cellphone) pic of the back of the screen.

Agree. Out of curiosity, where did you add the paper filler?

in this pic you can clearly see where i put the paper.
you see those two red arrows in the back of the lcd? in between those two arrows is where i put the folded paper to apply the pressure to the back of the screen. i don't really know why applying pressure there works but it does. i tried placing the paper in different spots and that's where it worked.

Sounds like a bad LVDS cable (the black cable in your picture), or a loose connection (under the kapton tape- yellow stuff).
