LSD 3?
    #8799759 - 08/20/08 06:07 AM (15 years, 7 months ago)

Was just speaking to a friend of mine. He said that when he  ate Lucy, it was LSD-3....not LSD-25??
Thats just what the dealer told him, but he said she really put an emphasis's on the '3'

Anyone know anything about the other 24 of 25?

sounds like a dealers way to give someone 5MEO-AMT and say it is LSD-3 incase they notice different effects :crazy2:

Heh ,well , dont you love the "number play"?

I think such claims by dealers belong to the spectrum of "half lie-half truth" or if we want to put it more accurately "half misinformation-half truth". Rarely a dealer is a source of knowledge, they are merely a source of substances.

The "half-lie/half misinformation" part of it is that many dealers use claims like that to sell more or indeed they believe them themselves. It has an....aura of..."im special" to have tried the "other unknown LSDs". Also ,it makes dealers and others seem like they know what they are talking about ,and for many people a dealer is something akin to demi-god. "He/she surely knows her/his shit, right?". Well, if it was this way the universities wouldnt enroll professors in their chemistry, and psychopharmacology faculties ,but dealers

The "half truth" is that the number assigned to LSD (25) is the number of the compound Hoffman synthesized. I think it was his 25th end product while he was synthesizing and modifying ergot alkaloids.LSD is lysergic acid diethylamide (Lysergic Saure Diethylamid ,in German i think)and 25 the number meaning it was the 25th compound. The others were NOT LSD ,that is diethylamides, but other analogues , some of them COMPLETELY devoid of hallucinogenic action. Some ,at high doses (above milligram) have hallucinogenic actions ,others cause vasodilation or vasoconstriction (effect on blood vessels ,either making their diameter smaller or larger) ,others have more pronounced uterotonic action (that is causing uterus spasms, usefull in childbirth although nowadays they use oxytocin).

Personally i doubt your friend received "hoffmans third synthesis product" , may have received plain LSD, ALD, a member of the DOX series or a research chemical if what he received was "active".

Thanks Psiloman. Was %99 sure he had LSD-25, was more curious as to the effects of the other 24 compounds.

P.S. I know what RC's are  :bigswang:

Well it was the only time he's taken 'LSD' but the effects he described seemed to be consistent with LSD's known effects.

did they tell you how long it took to kick in
most rc take 2-3 hours but lsd can take 45-90 min.

Of the LSD analogues Hoffman synthesised, as far as I'm aware only about 2 or 3 came close to LSD in terms of potency and even those needed 5-10 times the dose, and had slightly different effects.

ALD-52, as they called it, was the only really promising LSD analogue but it's unlikely he had anything besides typical LSD. Sounds like dealer lies to me.
