I have barely used myspace in the past. But a few days ago I was banned from posting on their forums after a single political comment on their "decision 08" page. I asked why there isn't fair coverage of all presidential candidates and why Nader, Barr and McKinney were being excluded from their page. A bit later I tried to make a post elsewhere and it said I was banned. This was the first time I'd ever used their damn forum.
I emailed them requesting to know why I was banned. The correspondence is as follows:

My reply:
I don't even use the forums and I don't have any idea why that would
have happened after posting only ONE message on the Decision08 page in
which I asked why they aren't giving fair coverage to third party
candidates. It was not vulgar or abusive and did not contain spam. --
Then a few minutes later I tried to post a response to someone else's
message in a DIFFERENT section but wasn't allowed to post the 2nd
message because it already said I was banned!
What is the reason I am banned?

You guys sent me the same canned message twice. NO it does NOT address
my issue.
Please respond with a real answer. I was banned after posting one
comment on the decision08 page asking for more support of third party
candidates. Please inform me what SPECIFICALLY was wrong with my post.

see how what I posted violates any of your rules! I want an
explanation of why I was banned from posting after posting a single
non-abusive message.

I think this pretty much speaks for itself. MySpace is a fucking cunt of a company. Guess it's to be expected considering it is owned by News Corp, i.e. Fox News. My myspace account was deleted because of a single political comment on what is supposed to be their politics page. Obviously News Corp/Fox News/MySpace/Rupert Murdoch are not interested in democracy. But you already knew that.

i may be wrong, nut it sounds like you made a post on a group forum. moderators of those groups can delete any comment or ban anyone from posting that they choose.
however i agree with you that they are a cunt of a company, groups on there have just as much right to ban you as the moderators here do.

Keep trying to work it our politely, and professionally while documenting their jackassery as it unfolds. Then distribute the information to as many rival news corporations as possible. Maybe someone will pick it up as a human interest story.

No it was not a group forum. It was Myspace's "decision08" official page.
I made a comment on that page, as lots of other people were doing. Then I tried to respond to someone else's post elsewhere on the decision 08 page and it said I was banned. If you actually read the correspondence with MySpace it said that I was banned by a MYSPACE moderator for supposedly violating their terms of service. Then at the bottom they deleted my account. All for no reason.
