Would YOU do a thumbprint? why or why not

Personally I would not do a thumbprint. Let's just assume we're talking about a dose like 30-50mg here... so that's 3 to 5 sheets, to the dome.
My reasons for this are just mainly that I'm not willing to let go of this world, and I fear that if I did a thumbprint, it's almost like permanently saying goodbye.
And don't get me wrong, i LOVE acid. I love love love it. Its just that i'm not ready to commit myself to psychedelics at that level, I think it would alter me forever in a way that others would notice very easily....
Not to mention the real possibility (lets face it) of more serious consequences. I'm not talking about death, but there have to be people who have never really came back from a dose like that, or people who were severely fucked in one way or another.
I think the idea of a thumbprint is more exciting than the possibility of actually doing it.

I mean, it's just enough to coat your thumb, it's not THAT much. I guess it could be as much as you wanted it to be really, but 100mg seems like it would be a very large thumbprint. Mostly its probably 30-60 or so?
Ive never done one or seen a person do it, but based on what I know, its somewhere in this range...

dude, the thumbprint has been covered about 30 times.
a thumbprint is a lot, you get high on contact. go and read chinacats threads if you want to read about thumbprints. i wouldn't and i think the consensus of the shroomery is actually no.
you realize the fact that lsd is active in UG, micrograms right?? i couldn't even fathom eating 2mg of LSD, thats a heavy dose, eating 50 times that, i am totally good on keeping my sanity.
i have a friends who have ate 10 strips at a time and felt themselves get high.

I wouldn't because I got bored with acid a long time ago. and I'm not convinced anything beyond 750mics is any more intense (there more than likely is a plasma saturation point). so yeah, convince yourself that taking thumbprints is any different than eating 15 high-grade blotters, whatever helps you sleep at night. it's more of a ritual than the end-all/be-all of psychedelic states.

thats some major bragging rights. how many people do you know that would be able to say "yea i stuck my thumb in crystal LSD and licked it" you would have one hell of a story to tell about that.

I would do it, if I had a month's free time ahead of me and people who would stay with me to take care of me and loved me and wouldn't freak out upon seeing me go completely out of my mind.
I mean, you'd be peaking for how long? Days? How long would it take to come down? You'd never be the same person again.

I like my brain too much to subject it to unnaturally high doses of LSD.
(But I'd still be tempted.)

Yes, I know the thumbprint has been talked about a lot. But this specific question is something that I have never seen a thread about, the way that I am asking it.
I was talking to another member about this recently... and I thought it would be good to make a post to see the percentage of people on here who would actually do it.
Dude I registered in 2002... lol, yes i know acid is active at the microgram level.

without a doubt id do it. its a rare feat few have been able to experience, and to be able to say that youve experienced a journey of that magnitude is something not many people can say theyve gone through.

To think for yourself you must question authority and learn how to put yourself in a state of vulnerable, open-mindedness; chaotic, confused, vulnerability to inform yourself. Think for yourself. i used to buy books and ate a lot of LSD but never took more than 50 hits in one sitting. that was enough for me. i probably would have done a thumbprint back then but wouldn't now. I have a friend who ate a sheet and a half and I don't think he's been the same since. Not that it was the acid that did it. He already had some screws loose. The acid just pulled the loose screws out.

It sounds like a pretty foolish and dangerous idea to me. There is some evidence to suggest that high doses of LSD can cause permanent memory problems, or something like that, I don't remember.
