There was an absolutely incredible documentary about the rediscovery of psychedelics in western society, the implications, and their historical use on the History Channel a while ago, called "Peyote to LSD: A Psychedelic Odyssey."

I was blown away by how accurate and, believe it or not, pro-psychedelics it was.

You can find torrents on Mininova or Pirate Bay, i believe.

EDIT: There's also a more LSD-centric one called "Hofmann's Potion" which you can find on Google Video. They talk to a lot of psychologists who researched LSD before prohibition. Old, old folks who have some interesting stuff to say.

Hi - this is my very first post on this site. I have been a long time member of the Nook. I just wanted to introduce myself and say hi. :mushroom2: I saw that documentary, too. I thought it was great - I was only able to save half of it. I looked online to see if it was for sale - I kind of collect stuff like that - it was for sale for $40. The History channel store also had a good documentary that I got from them before - The Real Temple Of Doom - about the use of San Pedro cactus. I collect a lot of books and stuff of that nature.
Well - just wanted to say hello.

In the "that kind of stuff" category there's "Weed." Woody Harrelson narrates the history of T from the days of common usage to it's demonization by the Fed.

At times hilarious, often informative, i.e. $250 Billion spent by Reagan to combat drugs.  The filmed scenes of research subjects getting high are worth the price.

It occasionally runs on Sundance and other premium channels.
