 Ayahuasca & Psilocybe Mushrooms

Has anyone experienced a brew with Banisteriopsis Caapi and Psilocybe Mushrooms because i have read that its possible to supplement Chacruna, Mimosa, or the various other DMT containing plants with our mushrooms. i was mainly wondering this because I have came to acquire whats needed for a Caapi Mimosa brew and I was wondering if the journey would be more like a more intense mushroom experience or something entirely different if i replaced the mimosa with mushrooms?

if you replaced mimosa with mushrooms it'd be like drinking mushroom tea with an maoi... itd be a mushroom trip. itd be a more intense mushroom trip b/c of the maoi. some people say mushroom tea makes for a more intense trip, if this is the case, then it would be more intense than a normal mushroom tea trip b/c of the maoi.

yeah you can make fungus tea. idk about ayahuasca + fungus though, that sounds like an out there experience for sure. i have a couple friends who swear by tea/lemon juice fungus.
as a matter of fact, i know the lemon juice does the trick. me and a handful of buddies where going down the river and he started the day with about 2gs in lemon juice and then about 3gs in lemon juice later that day, he fried the entire time with a lot of tolerance after the first lemon juice.

Wait, are you saying the mimosa WITH mushrooms? or the the mushrooms INSTEAD of the mimosa?

well ive never added lemon juice but thats a good idea my best experience with tea was when two other friends and i ate 7g worth of dried mushroom and then we each added another 7g of mushrooms to a pot of tea and it was exquisite

No i haven't got up the nerve to actually drink my ayahuasca i was wondering if the aya experience would be similar to the caapi x mushroom mixture to use as a stepping stone to the ayahausca

umm, ive never tried ayahuasca, but the fact that youre using DMT instead of psilocybin is a huge difference in the experience. McKenna talks a lot about the shaman use of ayahuasca. If you can find a recording, listen to it. It's interesting how he describes a group of shaman on ayahuasca, and what they experience. I'll see if I can find somethign for you.

Well ive actually been studying his work for awhile now and he sorta puts mushrooms and ayahausca in the same light ive never done DMT though but i understand the reliance on the MAOI to make it active but Psilocybin is supposed to be the other orally active form of DMT without the MAOI

uhh... psilocybin is not DMT. You don't need an MAOI to activate psilocybin orally. DMT is destroyed by the body unless you combine with an MAOI (if you eat it)
I suggest doing some more research before diving into ayahuasca head first.

Well in order for psilcybin to be broken down and absorbed by your body it needs be broken down from 4-phosphoryloxy,N-Dimethyltryptamine the 4-phosphoryloxy on the molecule gets burnt off by the body allowing it to bypass the MAOs in your stomach producing 4-hydroxy N,N-Dimethyltryptamine so your body can uptake it. and this is the Dephosphorylated form of psilocybin & psilocin wich very similar to N, N-Dimethyltryptamine ive never smoked DMT but i have smoked psilocybin that was extracted from mushrooms and my experiences have been very similar to my friends who have smoked DMT. and friends who have smoked both have called psilocybin to be similar but more intense

I think its talked about in Rick Strassmans book but i know its talked about in Terences the Invisible Landscape thats where i got the dephosphorilation process the reason im hesitant of the mimosa mixture mostly is the Mystery alkaloids that have been isolated out of it I mistakenly bought it instead of the psychotria viridis wich is said to just contain higher amounts of DMT instead of 5-MeO-DMT or the other Tryptamines but

Once I consumed 5g of mimosa, 1.5g of syrian rue, and 2g of mushrooms. That is a great combination. Very recreational and more clear headed than just mushrooms alone.

ok this thread has been bothering me all day... specifically this quote.
how the HELL do you know what your friends experienced when they smoked DMT? are you telepathic? the psychedelic experience is an experience beyond words. thats what makes the experience so amazing. threads and threads on this forum have discussed this very point. the only way you could possibly know what they experienced is by experiencing it yourself.
