Cheapest Way To Visit Europe
    #8795525 - 08/19/08 02:02 PM (9 years, 9 months ago)

I'm looking to visit Europe next summer and need to know the cheapest way to go about doing it.

I know there are freight ocean liners that offer passenger cabins at a very low fee, but I have no idea how to go about looking into this.

As far as air-fare, is there a secret to getting cheap tickets?

Whatever help you can give me in this area, I'll appreciate it.

A big way to save sum money is to stay in hostlies. They dont have all the things that a regular hotel would but they are good for traveling on a budget.

Hostels aren't as cheap as they used to be.

I just got back from a month long trip in Europe.  I flew over, and it wasn't cheap.  If you're looking for travel around the continent, however, look up RyanAir.  They're kinda a ghetto airliner, but if you buy tickets a ways in advance they are hella cheap!

Don't go during the tourist months, especially the summer. They will take you for as much as they can. Try and book a flight a few months in advance during the early spring and then bicycle or train around.
