Artists.. you are needed!

Hello all.. I know there are a lot of good artists on this board. My band is currently starting off on our first real playing shows and whatnot, and what we need is a solid logo to put on our CDs and shirts and whatnot. Even though we?ve been together for 4 years we still don?t have one we are comfortable with.
Name of the band is Skultamaphon. We want a logo that is simple, yet appealing and unique. Think Metallica 1986. Colors think neon green, purple and black.
Anyways, if anyone would like to spend some of their precious time to make a Skultamaphon logo, it would be GREATLY appreciated. I?m poor... but I would be willing to reimburse anyone who makes one in whatever way I can. If we end up using your logo there will definetely be credit given and whatever else comes with the credit. (Money whenever we make money off it)
So... here?s one a friend of mine whipped up to give you a general idea.

here is some crappy digital art I made a loooong while ago, I can make it more "neon" green and fix it up a lot if you like it
and I'll only charge you free swag from your band  :cool:

 

edit: obviously that wouldn't work as a logo but I think it would make some decent back cover art, yeah?

Kind of hard to come up with a true fitting logo without
hearing your music. How bout some sample lyrics?

If your using a program that is primarily graphic orientated I suggest you draw your own text because otherwise the text can fuzz up easily especially in printing where as if it's kept as a graphic it doesn't seem to do that and since it's only one word that shouldn't be too hard;) photo programs maintain text better;)

it's not that, i can add simple text, but i want to add effects to it, and my effects plugin isnt working right, i need to transfer it from my other computer

the actual skull is something i downloaded, it wasnt those colors thought, the background and all i made, i used Paint Shop Pro 7, i just used some of the paintbrush and stuff, then added effects to it, like kaliedescop and twist and all
