i recently cloned a nice fat cubie and i now have mature fruits that are breaking their veils. my question is: is it o.k. to take a print from a clone or will that be a problem (i.e. degradation of quality, genetics, etc)?

Always pick the strongest , best looking specimine for spores , or tissue sample for clone . Strong parents make strong babies so to say . Taking a spore print from a cloned offspring is okay ...... just make it the best of the best available . " Mushroom Cultivator " suggests not going after third generation , you should breed in some new genes after that . Gets kinda complicated , breeding crossbreeding etc....... Good luck

yeah, it was tissue cloning. i used the sterile tissue tek (some of us newbies actually read the faqs instead of asking the same inane questions over and over again). i took the best specimen, split it open and took some internal tissue for the clones. i read that it was better to take the internal portion. is that right?
