My Cacti Disappeared!!!

shit man...

i took my humidity dome outside for a little sun yesterday, and it got too much sun, so i sprayed some water in it from my garden hose, nosle turned to mist...

today when i went to check the dome, 8 of my decipiens were GONE. i mean NO TRACE...

did they shrivel up from too much sun to the point of not being findable???

did they EXPLODE from too much water???

did a bug get in my dome and eat JUST the decipiens???

none of these seems the logical answer...

anyone have an opinion on this??

ive had lizards eat an entire tray of loph seedlings over a period of about 3 weeks. poor guys :frown:

Was the dome always closed?  If not, it could be fungus gnat larvae.  Bastards have eaten many hundreds of my cactus seedlings, many times leaving no trace.

I'd say they did shrivel up from too much sun to the point of not being findable

They probably just shriveled up, depending on their age of course. Which is?

I have had a few seedlings appear to have completely disappear from heat, with a tooth pick you can find a little smudge of cactus clinging some bits of soil together :sad:

But generally full sun is a really bad idea for cacti seedlings.
