ok well me n my girlfriend found some mushies that to me look very similar to the active species of gyms that grow in kansas and after using the search function to only find one pic that didnt help i turn to all of u for help. does anyon have and pics of this active species from kansas? any help would be great.

How about you take pictures of YOURS because as you can see there are plenty of different gyms

Do you see any bluing on any of the mushrooms? or greening? sometimes with gyms only the younger ones bruise blue

the little one i picked strted blueing and i will have pics for everyone tommorow. i know blueing is a pretty good indicator for actives i just want to cover all my bases before i go picking most of them. but i will definatly get some pics up tommorow.

they have gills right? Not poor

heres some gyms i found here in Texas it is said to be mildly active




See these are poors, its is a boletus mushrooms, it ISNT active its poisonous


This one i miss took for a gym but its not active its some kind of  Phylloporus



also fill out an ID request, you didnt even tell us if it waas growing on a dead tree or under a tree or anything...

The gilled Bolete is Phylloporus rhodoxanthus.
