If its bluing blue they are copes and they are active

keep an eye out for psilocybe cubensis too take a look at this ID guide for cubes.

Well if they blue then they are copes otherwise they are inactive pans, but no pans are poisonous or deadly, either way you will need more to trip

There is one other way to check to make sure you have the right mushrooms. Try bruising the suspected mushrooms at the base of the stem where some mycelium is present if you see bluing on the mycelium, you could have an active. Bluing is not a common feature on subbs but it does happen. I've probably picked well over a thousand subbs and I've seen 3 of them bruise blue.

??? They dont need to blue..

Panaeolus subbalatous also known as subbs blue on the mycelium and a little on the stems, sometimes a lot

Panaeolus cyanescens, also known as Copelandia cyanescens also known as copes bruise all over the stems and caps i dont think the mycelium bruises blue regularly

I think I saw some blue myceliums on some of the copes I found tonight but I could be wrong... I didn't really look at the mycelium too closely.

If they weren't bruising blue on the stems but they were on the mycelium... I would say yes. If the stems did bruise blue I would say they were definitely copes.
