Wall-E and Mushrooms

This past weekend, of my roomies comes home from work with a bag of mushrooms and proceeds to tell me that we are going to see Wall-E. This would be my 8th or 9th trip on shrooms, second time in a public setting.
We had just over 7 grams to split between us and we munched them down about an exit away from the mall, so that we would start getting that funny feeling around the time we parked. We misjudged the timing however and didnt start feeling effects until after we bought tickets, which is probably a good thing! Ive always had problems talking to sober people while shrooming.
We were tripping at the Irvine Spectrum in Irvine, CA. Its a hot spot down here and the place is always packed on weekends. I was really enjoying moving through and with the crowd. I felt as though the center itself was alive and that we were its lifeforce... Its blood, if you will. People moving in and out of stores, joining and leaving the "flow"... It made sense to me! Giggling like morons, we walked through the food court, looking at fountains and we finally decided to get inside the theater.
A minor drawback was that the staff was cleaning the theater from the previous viewing, so we had to wait outside... Which would have been fine if I hadnt been told, "Dont look at the carpet." I spent a good 10 minutes out there stifling laughter and doing everything in my power not to issue warnings such as, "Dont step on that!" to passing strangers. The bright, swirling carpet seemed to react to every foot that tread upon it.
Also while standing outside, I remember seeing a girl, a very beautiful girl wearing a white dress, with matching heels and purse... Her hair fell softly around her shoulders, with piercing blue eyes. The only word I could come up with to describe her was "angelic." She had a very warm energy about her and I made eye contact with her only because in my very mixed up, twisted world, she just made sense. She smiled as she passed and my buddy and I walked into the theater.
I was thankful we were seeing the movie in its third week. There were not many people and we were able to get comfy seats with a good view away from others. I kept my eyes closed through most of the previews just to keep a good head and not spoil my brain with other images before the movie. I did however, open my eyes and was shocked to see dancing chihuahuas. Everywhere. I dont care for chihuahuas in general and I almost lost touch when forced to watch them sing and dance. I still, to this day, am not sure of what was really going on at that point.
If you havent seen Wall-E and would like to, skip the next part. Spoilers.
Looking back, I can say the movie was pretty epic. Points of interest starting with the junkyard and cockroach. Though it was meant to be Earth, the dusty, red tone gave it the feeling of Mars. I felt a connection with the bug because it was the only form of life. I cant explain that one, either. Eve was simply amazing. I want one. I was reminded why movies can sometimes hinder a trip, as I was happy with the robot making trails as she flew around, but was disappointed when another scene inevitably began. People! The roly-poly Wall-E people. Seeing how they live suddenly brought me back to the lifeforce of the shopping center. I was also taken by such a bold statement made to the audience... A technology-obsessed culture, obviously living in a society based on consuming, overweight and all wearing red, white and blue. It felt like I was the only one in the theater with some cosmic finger pointing harshly at me. I made a silent resolve to become less dependent on my technologies and spend more time outside at that moment. Auto the auto-pilot? Best. Voice. Ever. My favorite scenes both took place in space. I love feeling weightless and peering over the edge of my seat into the black voids beneath me. I really enjoyed the movie, but I enjoy a lot of things on mushrooms. =P I havent seen it sober yet, but based on what I remember of it, I say its a definite go-see.
We were driven home safely and I went to bed with good feelings still in me... Woke up feeling like a million dollars. Cant wait to do them again when camping in a few months!

Go on a night when it is least busy and at a time most people will not be there.Plan ahead.

It can be a little overwhelming, I agree! The best way I deal with the public while on other substances is to appear drunk. It sounds stupid, but people are more comfortable with drunk idiots, you know? I'm not saying swagger around and slurring your speech, but just wear a big shit-eating grin as you walk through reality.
There's also nothing wrong with coming extra earlier and eating inside!

Or do what I do...go to a matinee. Take a Saturday and pick a 12pm start and treat yourself to a double header...the 12pm will end around 2:30pm...then you pick another which will still be pretty empty as they don't start really filling till 5pm+
By the tickets in advance and try not to make the in between movies become an epic journey of distraction

Those Chihuahuas were probably from the preview to that new Chihuahua Disney movie. It looks retarded. Anyway, thanks for sharing about your trip. Very interesting.
