When one terrorist nation attacks another terrorist nation, who should you feel bad for?

In reply to:

You my friend are a terrorist sypathizer...

This is silly. Phluck just thinks "coward" is the wrong word. I think so too. So does Bill Maher. What a bunch of fucking terrorists the three of us are are.

Main Entry: cow?ard
Pronunciation: 'kau(-&)rd
Function: noun
Etymology: Middle English, from Old French coart, from coe tail, from Latin cauda
Date: 13th century
: one who shows disgraceful fear or timidity

I don't think the hijackers showed disgraceful fear or timidity by flying a plane into a building. How that indicates that I sympathize with terrorists I do not know. Please explain it to me.

If you want to call them names, the definitions of scumbag, murderer, terrorist, evil-doer, and killer all fit the hijackers. By my and Mirriam-Webster's definition, coward does not. I'll let you look up "terrorist sympathizer."

***So does Bill Maher***

please don't ever use this moron as an example....Bill Maher is a joke...

****I don't think the hijackers showed disgraceful fear or timidity****

While i appreciate the use of the dictionary to solve this dilema, a cowardly act could be killing innocent people...I do not think what they did was couragous in anyway...to say that is to say that it should be done again.

in the Cambridge dictionary this is what i found:

coward
noun [C]
DISAPPROVING
a person who is easily frightened or tries to avoid danger, difficulty or pain
They branded her a coward for informing on her colleagues during the interrogation.

cowardice
noun
This attack on a defenceless elderly person is an act of pure cowardice.
You can accuse me of cowardice, but I still wouldn't volunteer to fight in a war.

cowardly
adjective
This was a particularly brutal and cowardly attack.
They are guilty of a cowardly failure to address the problem.

Maybe i should have branded their actions as cowardly or cowardice.....

****How that indicates that I sympathize with terrorists I do not know****

I never said you were a terrorist sympathizer.

****I'll let you look up "terrorist sympathizer."****

I already know what this is  :smirk:

Those who flew the planes were not cowardly.

The objective was to rally the Muslim world together in order to unify against the Western evil.

How do you define the use of the #1 ranking air force to devestate a country with zero air force?

And then when using ground troops, the use of existing, dangerously unpredictable local factions are used instead of American soldiers.

I just read today that the FBI, after 9/11 gave 9,000 police cheifs a test to pass them for security clearance in order to be given information about who suspected terrorists are in their precincts. 400 have passed.

Yet, when hunting down Taliban officials, and Al Queda operatives in Afghanistan, we trust the deed to complete strangers, from fear of suffering casualties.

What is cowardly about giving your life for a cause you believe in?

What is honorable about doing anything to avoid it?

The insistence of so many people to use "cowardice" in reference to men with a cause who flew planes to their deaths, AND to interpret a challenge of that reference as justification of the act, is as clear an example as I can think of of the effectiveness of rhetoric on the masses.
