i fucked up making some grain today even though i have read it 100 times i added so much fucking water to my RGS i would blame the weed but then i would feel bad. i made two bags with 6 cups RGS each and i added 12 cups water to each bag!! yeah i know i only realized when i took them out of the PC and was like hmmmm thats not right. so what do i do just throw them out ? you think i could just let them sit for like 2 weeks and let the water evaporate ? i was going to use them for g2g transfers.

You could poke a small hole drain the water then place micro spore or some other tape over it. That really isn't sterile, but better then throwing it out I suppose.

6 cups RGS each and i added 12 cups water there is no spilling water out its gelatinous if we know any species that likes to grow on rice pudding then these bags would be a good candidate. seriously though its like a pudding snack.

I'm not sure why you even put water in the bag in the first place. Soaking the grains in a pot of water over nite is the way to go. Then you cook them for about 15 mins. Strain the grains really good. Then load the bags.

in that link that duckie put up RR specifically says not to soak or boiled Rye grass seed. You still recommend doing both of those things to rye grass seed ? i thought it was to "gental or some crap like that"
edit- that question was for you Vater

i was looking at the cloning w/o agar thread and i saw this http://www.shroomery.org/8514/Agar-substitute would RGS would work just as good as brown rice in that tek and also dose it matter the its not ground up? it will still have a smooth surface my bags are like jello. and finally i do have agar i don't need a substitute but i don't want to waste 12 cups of RGS. do you guys think i should mix agar in with the mix? about what ratio should i use should i add anything else? am i going in the completely wrong direction here ?
