I'm not justifying the attacks. I'm saying that the US did things to provoke them.

It's the same way the other way 'round. Obviously something was done to provoke the bombing in Afghanistan. This doesn't justify it.

Reguardless of who is cowardly and who is couragious, the fact still remains that you shouldn't fight violence with violence. It'll just cause a huge circle of death and sadness. Attempts to fight back would be useless and only cause more people to be injured.

We are killing innocent people over there too, so does that make us cowardly as well? I would think it does.. or is it justified because they struck first? The US is PARTIALLY at fault. Not 100%. Would they have been attacked if they weren't such assholes? No. Should they have been attacked by those other assholes? No.

Everyone is at fault. Both sides are fucking retarded. Especially the individuals on both sides with no ability to understand the viewpoints of the opposing sides.

You say "why don't they change their ways?", I say "They should. So should you."

They simply aren't going to be able to change their ways and opinions when they are surrounded by war. War breeds hate, hate breeds war. Maybe one day they'll be able to change their ways, but in order to drastically alter the religious philosophy of a large group, you need time. Lots and lots of time. Christianity has changed, but it's taken hundreds of years.

Political changes are a whole lot easier to make, the US can do that no problem. Maybe they should try to find subversive ways of changing the culture over there, because dropping bombs on them isn't going to help.

You can't explode all your problems away.

It doesn't matter who stuck first. So they did something terribly wrong, but we are wrong to retaliate with anger and violence. Two wrongs don't make it right. Id this 'war' worth the lives of thousands of innocents?
