How Do You Tell Retard/Idiot Stoners To Shut the Fuck Up?

I'm POSITIVE that I am not the only one who experiences this. You'll have a good smoking group going, having carefully selected people from all the different circles in your life to meet and imbibe of "da herb", and then... there's some guy there who's sort of just a tagalong who was lumped in with us and has stuck around. Somehow he always finds his way to the pot circle, even your own, uninvited. And unfortunately, he's the one who's saying retarded things. A quote from last night with said retard stoner:

Me: Fuck Obama!. All I ever hear about is this goddamn Obama guy. I DON'T GIVE A FUCK!

And then he's the one who's laughing like a fucking hyena. And add on top of this, he's MORBIDLY OBESE and takes up car seats. And then he's just downright stupid, like when he got stranded at the beach at 4 AM because he turned off his phone and wandered a mile down the beach and got left behind when his ride had to go and could not reach him.

HOW THE FUCK DO YOU GET RID OF THEM OR SHUT THEM UP?!?

Try reading the book: The Power of Now by Echart Tolle. Its an Oprah book, but its a really amazing book. It talks about... allowing. Just allow, let things flow, dont resist inside or out. Silence... And if need be, he will see just what he needs to see.

And another thing... What we resist or dislike in other people is almost always because you possess that trait yourself. Once you start feeling angry at someone for something... Pause, Calm your mind, and ask yourself if you are acting or thinking the same way?

Tolle has some okay insights, but it's mostly just repackaged Zen Bhuddism. Read Alan Watts instead.

And yeah, if you're pissed cause someone is laughing while high, then maybe you are an asshole. If it bothers you that much, then leave.

Woah! Everybody's got to relax. Everyone knows(or has known) a person that just gets under their skin for apparently no reason. Some ppl are annoying as hell sober. Sometimes they chill the fuck out when they're high and sometimes it just makes them much worse.

It sounds like this person annoys the entire group of friends, not just the OP. OP is just looking for the best way to give his "friend" a hint without acting like to much of a dick in doing so. 

Idk about you guys, but if someone (not tripping) went exploring on a beach at 4am knowing everybody wants to get home soon and turned his phone off so he'd have an excuse to stay gone longer, I'd be straight pissed and depending on who it was I'd probably leave them. Especially if we had to catch a train or something like I would have to if I went to the beach over here in Chicago.

I completely agree with what your saying about letting people be. One of my best friends finds himself to be a weed connoisseur, he always talks about the best spots to blaze, how much hes smoked in his life..etc etc.

Great guy, but when it comes to weed I don't really like  smoking with him because he always gets all pissed off at me for laughing too much or acting stupid when he just wants things to be mellow.


In my opinion if you just want a plain, mellow high, smoke by yourself.

everyone is busting on the poster calling him retarded. I think we all do the same thing and go through what hes saying. You get a bunch of your close friends together who you can have fun with, and every once in a while theres some wierd guy who just really shouldnt be smoking because hes either never done it or is just a total asshole, and he pisses you off the entire night.

You have a few choices to get him to shut up...

#1 and my personal fav - beat him up until he shuts up
#2 - tell him hes retarded and that he needs to shut up before you hit him
#3 - grab one of the people in the group and go off by yourselve so you dont gotta deal with the retarded kid
or #4 - just deal with it and make sure you tell whoever brought the kid that if they bring him again, there not gettin anymore of your weed

And also, someone said smoke by yourself... A lot of people dont like to smoke by themselves. Dude, I gotta tell ya, it sounds like your a bit conceited.  You are trying to create a clique of "carefully selected people" and then exclude this kid who seems like he's there to goof off and have a fun time.  I don't know him or you, so if your circle of weed smokers all are annoyed by this guy, just stop calling him or try to subtly avoid him while respecting the fact that he just wants to hang out.
  I don't like looking at fat chicks in tight clothes, or fat people being lazy, but I don't mind chilling with fat people if they are down to earth and fun to be around.  Maybe if you tried to accept him more you wouldn't look at his weight/size as a problem of yours.

I don't smoke, but when I did I usually wasn't so hard on people.  I mean, the guy said something funny as hell in response to your comment, which I have to say was pretty off the wall and retarded.  Your comment probably would have bugged me. Honestly, if you say that you SHOULDN'T smoke weed with a carefully selected group of people, then you haven't ever been in a house where one kid just would NOT keep his voice down, and the cops got called, or in a group where a kid was wanted for auto theft and draws a shitton of police to your party spot.

And the reason I don't want to hear about Obama is because all he ever talks about is Obama, and honestly, everyone wants him to just shut up. He's a buzzkill- we'll be having a great conversation, he'll say somethin inane and kill it, wait a few seconds, and start talking about either Obama, Pokemon, or Anime, and NONE of us care about any of those topics.

I'm not going to take all the haters on post by post, because I really don't give a crap what you all think, I just want some opinions on how best to exclude someone that the entire group could do without, without outright telling them to GTFO.

I had one of these friends.... he's a fat dork, always got picked on for being fat and geeky and dorky, but makes absolutely NO attempt to improve his situation at all... he's too lazy to respect himself even the smallest amount, because that means he'd actually have to TRY at life once in a while...

we were friends throughout highschool, with some other kids in the neighborhood, and it was ok then...  we all picked up smoking after HS....  after that...  mother fucker just got a million times more annoying...  has nothing to say until you bring up a topic, and then he just recites everything he can remember from erowid and punctuates it with "DID YOU KNOW THAT?!!?!?!"

because he's my bro and we go way back i dont want to just up and tell him to fuck himself, so i've tried both ways... i've taken him aside and as nicely as i could told him what he was doing and how it was making people feel, and when that didnt work, i'd wait until his idiocy built up in me so much that i just snapped and started screamin at him...

i've had 3 or 4 occasions where i've snapped and blew up at him....

recently he got real bad with his laziness and stupidity, and his worst trait is forcing himself on you to "hang out"... if you dont pick up your phone, or tell him you're busy, he'll show up at your house just to "see what you were doin" even if you told him you have plans... so we all cut him off for like a month, 100% avoidance... started chillin with him again and he definitely got the hint, you can tell that he's trying not to be a dumb ass, which makes it hard for him at times, but hey atleast he's making the effort for us, so he's back in wit us for now...

just tell him like it is man, try nicely first, and if that don't work, rip him to shit, because that always gets people's fuckin attention

Like other's have said, try being nice about it. IDK what i'd say cuz I'm not really friends with the kid, but if that doesn't work then get a little more harsh, and if that doesn't work just start to ignore him. but at least give it to him straight, don't pretend you like him if you don't.

My opinion is that everyone everywhere are victims of circumstance.  He may get more annoying, but he is just reflecting off of the group of people.  Try collectively viewing him in a different light, that will ensure you treat him differently, and he may respond well.

If you guys view him as the annoying loser, you will treat him accordingly, and he will assume he has carved a social niche for himself.  All he wants is friends, people to spend time with.  It's obvious he doesn't have respect for himself if he doesn't want to improve his situation (may be an effect of the weed as well), so don't let him bring you guys down and sulk in his depressive state with you.

Sorry to revive an old thread but it caught my eye and made me lol.

Someone mentioned a few pages back that pot is not really a drug where you need to craft carefully selected groups?

I'm pretty timid at the best of times and suffer a HUGE apprehension of any excessive noise, physical contact or interferrence in my life. Seriously, if I'm walking along the road in the middle of the night and a car goes past breaking the speed limit I'll literally get angry because of the noise they're making (and I hardly ever get angry! ...well except at noise). Today a bus driver touched my shoulder as I was getting off and I felt crazy for like ten minutes afterwards (in the most polite possible way). I guess what I'm saying is I'm pretty neurotic.

I smoke far more on my own than with other people, however - that said - it is not as though I cannot 'handle' smoking pot in a social situation. I can and normally I find it quite helps. I'd just rather avoid it where I can because I'm paranoid enough without that on top of me too. So thanks to that can safely say I NEVER ever put myself in a situation where a loud and obnoxious 'tag-along' is rinsing off of me all night.

I sympathise though dude, I really do. If I were you I wouldn't put up with anyone taking advantage like that. I used to suffer a lot of those creeps back when I was younger, but I'm getting better at spotting them early now. It's amazing how popular you are when you've got bundles of hash and pills stashed up. :cool: Thats why I'm always straight with everyone. Thats why I tend to keep myself to myself; if you tell a mate you just got an 1/8th of the dankest haze you've seen in years they'll be over in a flash and crowding your place/cramping your style all night. If you keep your stash on the down-low and someone just happens to swing by for some other reason... whats a spliff between friends? :stoned:

But yeah, all my best spliffs are alone, before bed, or in VERY small groups (NEVER more than 3. The dynamic really changes with 4). These days I NEVER smoke a joint with large groups. Groups just scare me and make me feel really strange. I don't want to feel like that, so shan't.
