As Nismo would say, BOOBIES:
1.

Habitat: Wood - Found in deciduous woods, growing straight from a fallen rotting tree.
Gills: No gills, I believe they are to young, so i left 2 of them at the site.
Stem: Very small almost impossible to touch.
Cap: Brown to a dark purple nipple in the center.
Spore print color: Not yet verified, looking for alternate ways to do it with no gills.
Bruising: No color change was observed.
Location: Picked South Georgia, USA
I have many more that i will be posting at a later date!
Pic of all I discovered...

Cubensis?

Big boy I found...

Plant growing right through it!

The ones on the bottom of the first pic are Russula. Upper right is a Bolete.
To the left of them is a Megacollybia platyphylla.
Interesting purple puffball type things that grow on wood. I am not sure what those are.
Then you have some mushrooms that are not cubensis and some Phaeolus schweinitzii.

No clue on the puffballs, other than that I'm fairly sure we don't get that species here in Europe. You're from the US I assume?

Hmmz, pretty different habitat from my whereabouts. I'm sorry I cannot add anything to Alan's post (he's usually right and as complete as possible anyway.)

check it out, I lived in South Georgia until 6 months ago. Your best bet at finding shrooms down there is in the cow fields. You'll find most of your caps growing straight out of the cow shit. Mostly in the dried, orangish brown colored pieces. Just throwin it out there in case you didn't know already
