Brugmansia repotting question

Hey everyone, so i am building up my cache of interesting plants, besides my pf jars, hbwr, kratom and morning glory i purchased myself a Brugmansia plant, i determine it to be a brug, the seller called it a white trumpet/datura/brugmansia; overall i think he was trying to convey it has scopolamine in, anyways, as you can tell from the pic it is in a small pot and i need to repot it.

Question: I have shit loads of coir that i use for my shrooms, can i get away with using some of this for my plant? what is the best soil to put this in a pot? i intend on putting it outside during these nice summer days and raising it indoors when it gets cold, i may partake in a leaf or two to satisfy my curious mind but that is not the reason why i got her. So any brug growers out there care to share any thoughts?

coir is a good growing medium, although you obviously have to feed regularly as it contains no nutrients.

Don´t use coir, just give it damn rich soil. And do yourself a favor and don´t consume this plant.

Ill go to homebase in the morning and see what soil they have, i wont be putting this in the outside soil, i'll get a dedicated pot for it, a white one to match the flowers when they pop up next year perhaps (any experienced growers might know how long till this one fruits by sight?)
I do have too much to lose if any consumption happens, like Uni and my IQ, so right now and for the future it's simply gonna be part of my altar to nature, the queen per se, although i am a curious george! i can almost be in the experience reading the reports on erowid...

Delirium doesn´t sounds very funny to me, besides its a dangerous plants because of it´s unpredictable quantity of alkaloids.
I´ve known of people who passed 3 days cleaning their houses of imaginary insects that´s fucked up stuff man.

Whoa! 3 days! im not too much of an insect person, i do know the margin for effect and OD is very close, let me assure you i dont plan on being a kid with this baby, I have children, a life, Uni & my shrooms too, it's an addition to this eccentric person's collection, i am prone to self destruction though and i naturally have been delusional through mental illness, which i agree is not fun at all, especially when what you believe gets proved it's all made up, i guess at some level i would like to see what an induced delusion would be like against what i have felt through my brain activity, my delusions are almost old and i can waver if i focus on them but it is not moving forward, so i had to find a hobby, i found shrooms and ethnobotany
It is possible it could trigger something worse, so this is my secondary hold back (to my children), it's here now and i have it, so if i ever feel the need to press the big red button, i can... like suicide, the thought comforts many people and can help see you through some of the crappest times...
Any takers re; time for this to fruit? im a newbie in many ways, devilishly hungry for knowledge!

It definitley looks like a Brugmansia, not a Datura. I have several species of each and You should just repot it in a good potting mix with some perlite or peat moss for drainage purposes. Coir would probably serve the same purpose. Regular plant food during growing season and if you live in a colder area, you will want to bring it in for the winter or it could die. Daturas HATE to be repotted. They usually shrivel for a few days, so I water at least twice a day and keep out of the sun until they perk up. My Brugmansias never seemed to have a problem, though. I just started some Brugmansia Sanguineas from seed this spring and haven't had flowers yet. My Brugs and Daturas flower better in part shade. They don't always flower every year. The Atropine alkaloid contained in these plants is used in drugs like Dramimine. I think you will find that taking one dramamine too many would be an unpleasant experience to have to detox from, but you get the dreamy effect you are looking for. While I never want to ever go near dramamine again, you may find that it's safer than eating an unmeasured amount of toxic plant. In my opinion, it's not a feel good drug.

Very good advice. Brugs are heavy feeders and just grow much better with lots of nutrients. Put it in a big pot too.
As for flowers, I wouldn't look for them until after the plant does its first Y (branches). Your plant looks to me like it's a cutting from a mature plant so it may decide to branch early, who knows? The only brugmansia I know that is self-fertile is Brugmansia arborea. As far as I know all other brug species must be pollinated by a brug of a different species to produce any fruit/seeds.
