before someone says anything about weed its not from weed...
ok so basically im 18 and i guess you would call me slim/slender being like 6'1 and only weighing like 145 pounds. the problem, which i have always had, is extreme munchies. i cannot stop eating and i guess its cause i got a fast metabolism but im tired of feeling hungry.
anyone experience this and know of any ways to get rid of the munchies?

it won't go away until you are a few years older. i was 120 pounds when i was your age and couldn't stop eating. as i got older i gradually gained 30 pounds of mostly muscle, and by the time i was 23 or 24 i was content with being homeless and starving. no longer homeless.
bottom line, teenagers are growing alot, so you are going to need alot of food.
and why is this anonymous?

Eat more protein and fats. Cut the carbs. Carbs will make your blood sugar spike, then drop, causing a case of the "munchies." Drink a lot of water. But protein and lean fats will help keep you fuller, longer. Do this for a week or two. Then start adding in whole grains and fruit.
In a couple of weeks, the munchies will be gone. I'll put my medical license on it! lol

i have the same thing, drink tea/coffee... it requires a (small) amount of effort to make, filling your time, tastes nice, and fills you up
just make sure you're still eating enough

At least you're not a fatty. If you're legitimately concerned and have decent health insurance, get your thyroid checked.
Worst thing they're prolly gonna say is you have a high metabolism and to keep eating like you do.

One thing will help you, its Fiber, fiber will make you feel full longer, so increase the fiber in your diet and your should stay full longer

I'm in a similar kind of situation which comes and goes but I find that if you eat alot of shitty foods such as junk foods and store bought frozen processed crap doesnt compare to how good you feel after eating a well balanced meal you have made yourself. With ost people it seems to come down to the convenience factor but putting in the extra time is worth it.

start adding small amounts of butter or moderate amounts of olive oil to your meals (where appropriate) as fats make you feel full

I don't eat much butter, I do enjoy cooking with olive oil.
