First looks like some sort of psytharella or maybe a young specimem of Pan. Antillarum or Pan. Sphrinctinus. Second specie, could be Pan. Foenisecii or Pan. Subb. depending on the spore print color.

They're not Subbs. The gill structure looks all wrong. I'd agree with Mitch on the Foens, not active.

K i got ahold of a book and from waht i read and saw the ones i got were pretty f00cking close to the description the prints and the pics plus a local shroomery hunter. asured me there is subbs here in UTAH. i showed them to him and he said give them a print i said they wre black and he said eat em. if ther not subs they wont hurt you. they taste like store baughten mushrooms. And YES they are subbs thx for helping guys. some of them coulda been panaeolina foenisecci we found out. but they are edible my friend said. so we went through made sure they all looked the same took out the ones that didnt. The patch is still growing. im trying to get ahold of a digi camera. its gunna get tricky here in a few days if i dont. i dont know when it will rain again. im hopen they keep growin here.

My understanding is that any mushroom containing psilicyibin will bruise blue. I have been relying on this to identify such mushrooms (to avoid ingesting them by accident;)) perhaps, if this information is untrue and that active mushrooms need to be identified another way. I am going hunting over then next week several spots where I have seen mushrooms in the past, maybe I'll start a thread with pics, gill shots, ect.

Panaeolus subbalteatus rarely bruises blue and is active. It's commonly spread throughout the united states, and probably elsewhere. Search around the site and I'm sure that you'll find something on it.

I don't think it's Paneaolina foenesecii. I think it's an inactive Panneaolus and that is all. It had black spores which rules out Paneaolina, and it does not resemble any active Pan. or Copelandia. It's not active.
Oh and in order to save confusion, Paneaolina foenesecii is not active either, but since the mushrooms in question has black spores, I was just saying that it can't be Pan. foen., that's all.
