hey all, ive just come into the mushroom hunting game this year and finally found a substance that does everything i wanted it to. the reason i made it clear that im australian is for a few reasons:

1. im from melbourne and most melbournians know that the season is just about over here and i only just bought a mushroom grow kit in a hurry, so i can hopefully aim for all year round mushrooms

2. the other reason is i read posts on these forums from people from different countries and find it hard to understand their terms for items used and our ability to access these items needed to cultivate shrooms.

i just bought a mushroom grow kit from aussimushroomsupplies.com and it is currently on its way, i just wanted a few pointers from some growers who learned some lessons while growing their first few batches so i have a better chance of getting things flowing good enough to succeed in my batch. its just my luck or my laziness that ill do something stupid or cut a corner and pay the price. im paranoid that this will go all wrong and i will have to resort to chemical factories in tablet form to have a good summer. any advice will be of great help. cheers

so far I learned that setilization is KEY to a good colozination, also always fully steam in a pot for 90 minutes (I don't have a pressure cooker) or fully PC for the amount the tek says. I cut corners and lost 2 gt's and 5 Cambodians

well well well, i only just now find out, after buying all the crap i need to grow shrooms, it turns out subs arent that good to grow. since i live in melbourne i have no way of getting cubensis spore prints.

i'm open to offers of help.

ok, the way i did this was, in product categories, clicked on spores for microscopy>psilocybin genera spores found the strain i wanted and it asks if i want - single, 4 pack or 10 pack syringe microscopy kit - and there was single spore print microscopy kit. i'm a little confuscious as the single spore print kit is more expensive then the single syringe pack. is this the way u order them?

The reason prints cost more is you get billions of more spores in a print than in a syringe. Get a print and make your own syringes with that print. You can make 4 to 10 syringes depending on how heavy the print is. Or you can make LCs from 1 syringe.

i would get or start thinking about getting a pressure cooker it will be priceless in the future for you.


grains cannot be steam sterilized only PC'd, and you might as well use a PC for everything else because it is very good at sterilization.
