Computer Lighting for FC's.

Well, I've been having a problem fitting a suitable light (Nothing too bright or big and something that can fit between my ceiling and the FC) in my closet. My FC is siting on the top shelf, so I came upwith a solution.
Being a computer junkie that I am, and working with watercooled equipment with fluorescent coolants, I ended up with a few spare white tube lights - to be exact, cold cathode ray tubes from FrozenCPU, around 14 dollars for a pare of two 12" tubes. Here are the photos of the tubes, and of one taped onto a new FC chamber I haven't yet cut. The light is actually inside another glass tube, and after hours of use, you can put your hand around the tube and hold it w/o any discomfort.
The light isn't too harsh, nor too hot, but the only problem is you need a computer Power Supply Unit (PSU). I happen to have one from an old PC that I've spraypainted black (for aesthetics hehe, it was a Dell PSU in a compaq computer case, wtf...), and have 'jumped'. (Will power on w/o a motherboard).
My only question now is, will the light be good enough?

I have no idea honestly, but how much does that matter for mushies? I know it might matter a little, but I don't know how much, because they don't use light to process anything like plants do, I think they just need any light.

Wheres the drink??? Can I make that from fountain drink i.e. pink lemonade??
And yes that lighting is fine... It's only to initiate pinning and that's all... Once you got your pinset you don't even need light but I still leave it around 12/12 if you can.

He's talking the can in the first photograph, its' an Arizona Ice Tea brand Arnold Palmer. Here's another grow chamber, mock setup drilled and ready to test the humidity.
Of course there will be probably an inch of perlite on the bottom to raise the pans up more near the airholes and maintain moisture. :o (And those pans are empty obviously).
It's a really compact system as you can see, a tiny black box (which I can plug fans into for airflow if I ever need), and you're set.
