tripping alone

lets say i wanna resolve some personal issues or work on my personality and problems in the past with ppl etc. anyone had any experience with using lsd alone at home and sort of just thinking about ur life in general? i like psychedelics and they are fun with ppl, but i like the other part where u let ur mind go crazy and just think about things and can make improvements in ur life. would anyone recommend me trying this? i have acid experience but nothing more then 2hits. would a low dose be good, incase it gets dangerous bc ill be home alone. all thoughts appreciated.

Once I get some lsd, I am going to eat it alone

None of my friends trip, but I don't want anyone to ruin my trip anyways , especially if I am going to take a large amount.

I actually prefer tripping alone. I find my friends to be distractions and I can't get lost in my thoughts and enjoy my music without my friends wanting to talk or say something. I've never done a trip with my current friends, so I'm not sure how it would be. It is good to do some thinking on a low-ish dose of acid. And completly musical trips do wonders for your mind :smile:

That is exactly what I want to do
Just sit back and relax while I listen to music but it has been so long since I got my hands on some acid

Tripping with your friends can be great fun but tripping by yourself can be just as good.

you'd be surprised how hard you'll trip off a low dose when you're alone. my theory is that when you're with someone else, you tend to get on the same level and it seems like you're not getting a full effect. this is true for me with even weed. if i smoke 1 hit of weed and i'm with people who are sober, it's more intense than if i smoke a whole bag with some friends... 2 hits of decent LSD by yourself should take you anywhere you wanna go... just make sure you don't start wondering if you are someone else's dream :smile:

I have only tripped with my mates twice and i didn`t like it as much because they are in there trip and i am in mine.
I always now prefer to trip alone and it just as much fun. Thinking is also easy to process without someone screaming at yer or doing or saying somet which is very unwanted.

I found tripping alone to be the most appropriate way of using psychedelics as a tool. You get lost inside your mind, who you really are gets thrown into your face at full bore.

Tripping with friends is fun. I find it funny how conversations with tripping friends are always connected, word for word - like everything was ment to be said. Very interesting. :laugh:

I only trip with friends when I know that all I want to do is joke around and I know that I am in a playful mood.

The times I trip alone is the times I have a high dose. Nothing is more fun then getting lost within your own mind alone. When you go insane by yourself that's when you figure out the questions.

I find that when tripping, I like to have at least part of the trip to myself.

This time is usually around the peak (just before, during and just after)... and the only times that I wouldn't want to be alone during the peak itself, is when I'm feeling overwhelmed by it due to a strong trip.

After I've come down from the peak, I usually like to talk to someone about the things (revelations) I've been thinking about during my time to myself.

The peak is the best time to draw, think and explore oneself.

I've done lsd and shrooms with others and by myself.

The experience completely by yourself is quite different, and while it can be a little more scary, it can also be quite enlightening.

You may want to try to arrange a situation by where you have a babysitter who doesn't do the drug, but also doesn't look down on you for doing it, and is willing to keep an eye on you, and talk with you when you feel like talking.

It seems to be a common problem that people are unable to find others to do these drugs with, and also to find people to do these drugs who are "on the same wavelength", and willing to have deep, meaningful conversations rather than just act silly the whole time.

Generally the "same old stuff" quickly becomes boring. The reason people give up shrooms and LSD, is because they don't do anything new with them.

You can only stare at the carpet/wall/drapes so many times.

I almost always trip alone,I can't see having a very intense trip with other people there distracting you,seems like it'd kinda ruin it.

I want to throw in my advice.  It's worth what you pay for it! :grin:

Anyway, I enjoy tripping with other people most of the time.  The fellowship that can be shared when everyone is on the same plane can be extraordinary.  Saying this, tripping alone can be quite the exploratory journey and is certainly (for me) a more pensive experience.  The only negative that I can see with tripping alone is the freak out factor.  Other people can help to ground you when you're tweaking a bit too far.  Obviously you won't have this benefit when you're by yourself.

Know your limits and explore the boundaries until you get a few sessions under your belt.

Ya its definitly not a novice thing you gota have a real stable and good mentality ive only tripped alone once and I was quite bored dieing to hang out with someone as well!

Make sure if your alone you HAVE STUFF TO DO thats very important.

Yeah, tripping by yourself is a lot better in many ways as opposed to with other people. I have done about 75% of my tripping by myself, and feel that these are the trips that I really gain from emotionally / spiritually. Whereas the ones with friends are more of a 'drugged' experience where nothing really deep or meaningfull (though there are exceptions :wink:) but mainly just 'whoaaa, look at those crazy trees!' 'fucked up!' and generally leave me feeling more fucked up the next day as conversation can often be confusing / difficult on a high dose and there aren't enough chances to meditate and clear my mind. I haven't tripped with friends in a while (except a couple of very close friends who I do have deep conversations with while tripping and an overall uplifting / revelatory experience) So these days I either trip alone or select trip friends very carefully. Never more than 3 or so. Then it is just toooo confusing.

Oh and a few other things I just thought of. If you are planning on resolving some personal issues, if these are things which you may dwell upon or feel guilty about, then it is a good idea to have someone you can talk to if you need to, like if you could walk to a friends house or something if you needed some human contact. Cause I often feel that I need human contact when tripping alone just because of a strong feeling of lonleyness sometimes I get when delving too deep into my own mind.
Also, like someone else said, it is good to have things organised beforehand that you can play with if you get bored or feel like a break from thinking. Going for a walk is good for stretching / fresh air. Watching the news is just plain insane, especially big global news stations like CNN or BBC world. Scary. Humans!

that reminds me, my frined had done a bunch of shrooms late one night, then called me the next morning to tell me that he must really be tripping, cuz on the news some planes crashed into the WTC.....i told him he wasnt tripping.... he then threw up :frown:

I agree with most of the posts. Tripping alone can be just as good as by yourself. It can be better, in a way, you get to deep think more.
