inoculating millet jar with colonized millet?
    #8702649 - 07/30/08 02:32 PM (16 years, 5 months ago)

is this what g2g transfer means?

i was thinking of gouging out a small piece of colonized milled, dropping it into a newly sterilized millet jar and shake it up, thus speeding up colonization.

does it work?

G2g, as it stands for is grain to grain transfer, but it can mean transfer of a colonized substrate in one jar to another, even if it's not grain. For example braking a PF jar and transferring parts to rye jars.

Yes, it's going to be harder getting away with things as opposed to syringes, but quick work and a  sterilized glove box should get the job done.
